As long as I can remember Mother has had digestive and intestinal issues. Since she has been with me I have been feeding her Greek yogurt every morning (except for the mornings Tim decides to cook breakfast). I have not had any problems with the intestinal and digestive issues where she is concerned. We also feed her a dose of coconut oil and we clearly attribute it to her better cognitive abilities because she is on the same meds that she was taking in the assisted living home and the nursing/rehabilitation facility. I would highly suggest anyone who has a parent showing cognitive issues to give it a try at least. There arent going to be physicians that will speak to this amongst us either because they have no firm data from the AMA on it or the fact that the coconut oil will raise both the bad and the good cholesterol for the patient. Mom hasnt really ever had any heart issues except for the low rate of late so we have slowed down on the dosages just in case but having our mother interact with us and be able to enjoy her day far increases her quality of life and she is so much happier. Life isnt about a number at the end, it isnt about those things. Its about the love and the memories. Were getting ours.
