As long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper. - TopicsExpress

As long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper. (2Chronicles26:5) All the scriptural promises of prosperity are conditional. Our hearts response to the Lord & our desire to seek Him & please Him assure us of His blessings of prosperity. This verse reveals to us that King Uzziah of Judah prospered as long as he sought the Lord. The same principle applies to you & me today. By our attitudes & actions, we predetermine to what extent -- & for how long -- the promises of prosperity are fulfilled in our lives. A lifetime of dedicated pursuit of the Lord & His righteousness & ways equals a lifetime of gifts bestowed on us by a benevolent Divine Providence. The prophetic promise of 2 Chronicles 15:2 is addressed to you & me today just as much as it was to King Asa of Judah in ancient times: ...The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you. As long as the king sought the Lord, he prospered. This word prospered has to do with advancement, promotion, gaining ground, increasing resources. We do not seek or serve the Lord for mercenary reasons; we do so because as Creator of heaven & earth He is worthy of all our spiritual pursuit or devotion. But it is a joy to know that as we seek our heavenly Father with ardent spiritual intensity, He blesses us with all spiritual blessings. The additional benefits include physical help & financial prosperity. As children of the King, lets stop living beneath our station in life! Claim your inheritance, your glorious privileges! Let us seek the Lord!
