As long as the subject of Fort Casey came up, thought Id mention this book. This is a detailed history of the Puget Sound forts from 1894 to 1925, with quite a bit of emphasis on Fort Casey. A lot of background and excellent pictures. It does lack a few diagrams that might have explained things a little better. Still worth having if you like this subject. Interesting to me that two of the 3 barrels at Battery Trevor (which currently have two of the guns from Fort Wint, in the Philippines mounted) were sent to Corregidor in the 1930s. The carriages were scrapped a few years later. amazon/Battle-Ready-National-Fortification-1894-1925/dp/0874223202/ref=cm_rdp_product
