As long as there are Kenyan soldiers on Somali soil there will be - TopicsExpress

As long as there are Kenyan soldiers on Somali soil there will be blood shed in your country, get your dogs out of here and you will live peaceful Anyone hearing this will have a sad heart and this is a plain statement I saw in a youtube video about two years ago. A video by the Al-Shabaab militants. Lets take a look at the situation, those fighting in Somalia are soldiers who are already prepared for death and yet in Kenya it is poor innocent citizens get killed in various forms of attacks and others arrested by our owned officers. My dear government, dont you have mercy on your people? Arresting hundreds because just two or three people who stormed in a church or after a bomb blast incident occur? Does this mean our officers are trained more to arrest than identifying criminals? Natujenge taifa letu is a line in the Kenya National anthem which now seems like Natuvunje taifa letu Please dont mistake me and assume of harsh speech but it hurts when we know very clear that our parents abandoned their lands in Mvundeni, Rubu, Ishakani and other villages due to the Shifta back in 70s and 80s and my dear government you did nothing until foreigners got kidnapped by PIRATES and not AL-Shabaab when you declare war against them. It gave you courage and made budget of billions to fight who were not behind the kidnapping. We were all wrong to believe you that you were fighting them to keep a peaceful country until Judith Tebutt publish A LONG WALK that open our minds that there is a reason no Kenyan knows why you fight our brothers in Somalia. I, Abdalla Barghash think there is something wrong with Kenya we know today. I have no power to do anything but I have time and energy to pray for Kenya and Somalia. Bombings, storming in holy places and killing innocent believers might lead to a religious conflicts. Our brothers and sisters in all faiths lets unite for a peaceful nation. We all need our old Kenya that Mzee Kenyatta gave us. Our grandfathers shed blood to gain independence and not for their grandchildren to tear each other. To all Christians and Muslims it is time for us to look for who is behind all this and not let government alone fight this. Our government can not fight this alone. There is nothing I can do but I will not stop to pray for a Kenya that we all need. Lets not forget our fathers(freedom fighters) shed blood for our nation and now what are we shedding for?
