As long as there is anything at all that can divert you, for now, distract you, for now, occupy you, for now, or be enough for you, for now—you cannot rightly and fully comprehend the situation that you are in, and you do not (and cannot yet) Perfectly Know the Transcendental Nature of Reality (Itself). The authors of the traditional texts that I have Rendered into English in this Book of The Gnosticon were individuals Who knew the humanly real trouble, and Who had, Themselves, become Urgent—and profoundly serious. Their seriousness made Their Awakening necessary—and Their seriousness made Them available to the Awakeners Who would make Their Awakening Really possible, and (at last) Really So. Therefore, your whatever degree of seriousness is bringing you to Me now, and that is the basis for the Bond you make with Me—wherein the relationship to Me can work for the Sake of your Awakening. And I am always here to Magnify that seriousness, and that (potential) Perfect Urgency, in you. There is the terrible mass of threats associated with this late-time (or dark epoch)—but it is also a fact that you do not have much time in any case (or in any time or epoch). Life is short—and, because of egoity, it is bewildered and wandering. Because of egoity, it is anxious and afraid. None of that is necessary. The transcending of egoity is possible—Awakening is possible—because of the Nature of Reality Itself. In order to become profoundly serious, you must become disillusioned with your egoic patterning. You must become inherently (and not merely negatively) disillusioned with every thing and every one. Such disillusionment is not despair. Rather, it is clarity—and it is inevitably associated with a magnification of sympathy, not with dissociation. The world is ego-mummery. The world is mad.
