As many, but not all of you, know... Laura Marling is my all time favorite singer in the entire world. By a chance friendship, and a chance suggestion by Luke Byers Mcwilliams over 5 years ago, I never would have even heard of her I dont think. This was the very first song I learned to play on guitar. I listened to her every night after school. She got me through a really bad case of depression. She inspired to me not give a crap if Im a dark person, but to embrace it and see the beauty in it. I have gained my aesthetic from her, or moreso enhanced the one that was hiding. I am so grateful that she exists, because without her I dont know who I would be. And its crazy to think that music can do that to a person, but its 100% the truth when I say that I owe a lot of who I am today to this one woman, whether she knows of my existence or not.
