As many of my friends are aging into Medicare which means they will qualify for the original Medicare Hospital (Part A) and Medical (Part B) the 1st day of the month they turn 65 it has come to my attention that they may be confused as to how Medicare differs from their current health insurance benefits. This may be because they have become use to having to go to networks or preferred providers to get their medical coverage or have to pay more or possibly all of these expenses if they dont comply with what their group policy insists they do. Let me tell you that in the 40 plus years I have been selling health insurance the VERY BEST coverage I have seen is the ORIGINAL MEDICARE. Anyone who should tell you that a Medicare Advantage Plan is better than Medicare is misleading you and I will very happy to explain to you the difference and my advice is free! This is only one of hundreds or probably thousands of terrible stories since these Private Medicare Plans became offered 1/1/06 throughout the country. Get a hold of me before you consider taking any health coverage other than the ORIGINAL MEDICARE when you are aging into this wonderful part of your life.
