As many of you Chicago friends of mine know, I grew up a Miami Dolphins fan. Its odd how you attach to a certain team, especially one that is in a town you dont live in. I was fortunate enough to vacation every year in Miami Beach with my extremely generous grandparents. It was in the early seventies on Christmas Day, when the Dolphins beat the Chiefs in the longest overtime game ever that my blood turned aqua/orange. I was eight years old. 43 years later Im still a die-hard. Some of the most memorable games have been against your beloved Bears. December 2, 1985 specifically when we beat you on a Monday night game to be the only defeat of your year as you went on to win the Superbowl saving the title for the 72 Dolphins as the only undefeated team ever (jab). Today is one of those days. The Dolphins come into Soldier Field, certainly not the powerhouse they were in the Shula or Marino years, but are starting to show some signs of hope. They currently have a losing record but have played some decent games this year. I still root for the Bears a close second, but not today my friends. Lets hear it for a great game today. Go Dolphins!
