As many of you all already know my story.... I have never met my biological father. I was blessed to have a father in my life growing up so I never felt a void. I had always wondered about him and had questions but didnt know how to find him. I had been told stories regarding him but nothing seemed to match. When Blake was in 8th grade, he had to complete a family tree project. I had no idea how to even begin because that limb was broken. I was sitting in my office one day and decided to search even though I figured that it was a waste of time. Little did I know.... that day would change everything. I not only find him but I also found out that I had other siblings too. He answered the phone and knew exactly who I was. He has been amazing to me and very supportive with my decisions. He continued to call me and try to make arrangements for us to meet. I think I was scared so I never set a time. Well.....tonight changes everything once again. A few days ago he was found unresponsive. He has been hospitalized in Ohio and not doing well. I just spoke with one of my siblings who let me know that he will probably be unplugged from all machines on Monday. He will not be able to survive due to the extensive damage to his brain. I allowed time to slip through my fingers and now will never have that chance to meet him. Life is so short. I know that I will have regrets but hopefully I can remember our phone conversations. I pray for his family. Maybe in time I can meet up with the rest of his family and learn more about him through them. Some things will never make sense.
