As many of you know, I am endeavoring to start a very high-class reading series called WRITING MATTERS, where authors for whom I have a great deal of respect and admiration come and do a presentation which is far more than your usual reading. First up is Leah Hager Cohen, on June 14th, at 7pm, at the Hemingway Museum on Oak Park Avenue in (what else?) Oak Park. There will be a surprise warm-up act. There will be a couple of surprise audience members. Not Gabby, I rush to add, as she is in negotiations with a speakers bureau that charges a minimum of $7,000.00. I wanted to let you know that there is an interview in todays New York Times Book review featuring Leah. Thats because The New York Times Book Review is a fan, too.
