As many of you know I have a deep passion for San Diego and Balboa Park. I have taken that passion for this internationally renowned place and created something special for you and the community in a new book that is an Art - History experience. Besiides some of my best known works of our park, Ive created many new paintings for this publication. My friends, writer Ann Jarmusch, editor Alana Coons, and Graphic desiner Martina Schimitschek have created, what may be the most comprehensive walking tour of Balboa Park. I hope my work inspires San Diegans to take care of our city jewel so that future generations may also experience its rich art, architecture and gardens for their enjoyment, well being and education. I have selected SOHO as the best steward for this project which will benifit their historic preservation work. Together we have created this portable booklet is designed for walking tours, including disabled access at all stops, or as a handsome history-and-art portfolio that is also a valuable reference. Save Our Heritage Organisation kicks off its yearlong centennial celebration of the 1915 Panama-California Exposition by releasing its latest publication, The Art Traveler Guide: A Portrait of Balboa Park (Our Heritage Press, 2015).
