As many of you know I have been involved in saving and rescuing animals since I was a little girl growing up in Highlands. But since 2009 I became more proactive as the abuse and slaughter of dogs, cats, horses and farm animals has become more violent careless and due to social media has made us more aware of whats going on!!! Therefore, many people myself included have formed rescues. These rescuers women and men work very hard long hours with little to no donations or help. Our emotions are so up and down from scared angry happy appalled to downright heartbroken. But we never give up. It doesnt matter what is going on in our lives whether we are sick, the weather is bad, family or living conditions we always fight the fight for the victims of human stupidity and heartlessness. We would live in our cars or a cardboard box to protect GODS creatures. We are warriors who will fight this fight for those who cannot speak. A lot of people get annoyed with out constant posts about animals yes some are graphic and heart wrenching. But how can we make everyone aware and hopefully save as many as we can unless we put it out there? This is a thankless job and we are not looking for that great big thank you!! We need help. Share, educate, volunteer, donate may it be monetary or supplies. Rescues do not run themselves help out!!! And most important adopt dont shop!!! In closing the rescue/sanctuary that I have been a part of for the past 4-1/2 years the director has been ill and shes still doing her job. But they need help if anyone can donate, fund raise, volunteer or even help share some of their adoptables that would open doors for more lives to be saved. Every little bit helps. Do this for the animals.
