As many of you know, I love Google. It allows all of us to access essentially the same information. One of my favorite sites this time of year is Google Trends which tracks searches for influenza symptoms - which actually correlates with actual influenza rates in the communities. The CDC and Department of Health lag weeks behind in their reports, but Google is essentially real-time reporting. So what do we know? This influenza year is almost an exact match to 2 years ago. It hasnt peaked yet, but cases are increasing daily. Fever, congestion, cough, weak, muscle aches. Increase your fluids (coconut water, pedialyte, etc), extra sleep, Vitamin C and D, see your chiropractor, use your oils, and if things are falling apart in spite of your best efforts let us know! Keep track of current influenza rates at: google.org/flutrends/us/#US-MN - Should be back to normal by February! For my natural friends, please feel free to share your favorite survive the flu season tips!
