As many of you know, I was born with a serious condition called hydrocephelus - which literally translates to water on the brain. This means I have a pillow of water in the middle of my cranium, blocking off the aqueduct (exit way) for my cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) to drain out, so I have a tube (shunt) which runs from my brain to my tummy to drain out the water. Im incredibly lucky. 24 surgeries, yes. But I DONT have spinabifoda or cerebral palsy (as many do), Ive recovered from relatively minor brain damage (big credit to an incredibly strong and determined mother), and I work in two organizations that I love, with people I love, doing what I love. I also sing in a band that I love. ... And today, I met a woman who is doing the exact same thing - with the EXACT same condition that I have. Wow.
