As many of you know Im a High School teacher and, yes, the start of school is drawing very near. I am always intrigued at how excited I get this time of year. I am so intrigued because I love my summers. I love spending time with the kids! I love camping and fishing. I even love sleeping in until 9:00 if I want to. But there is something inside of me, something subconscious I guess, that makes me excited for the new year. I am excited to meet new kids in the hall, visit with my fellow educators, and even watch the boys play football on Fridays. I am excited to just be a part of something bigger than myself again! I think that is often how my faith works as well. There are times I am really excited about, and for, the Lord and then there are times I kind of put Him on the back burner. I want to strive to keep my excitement for Him all the time. Not just when its fun and exciting and new all over again. But rather all the time!
