As many of you know, Lou and I feel very strongly about constantly applying the Medicine Teachings in order to live in Mindfulness and Awareness of every moment. This is not always easy, there have been and will continue to be hurdles along the way. We all experience these hurdles of life in different ways, and underneath these symptoms are a few basic core beliefs that affect every one of us. The hurdles we face are rooted in either a feeling of low self esteem, a belief that no one will ever be able to really meet our needs or the reminder of how unappreciated and unloved we really feel most of the time. Lou and I have been working with and aligning to Wealth for a long time now and in our Ceremony today we touched on the core beliefs surrounding wealth. This lead us to a new understanding of the experience of money which we would like to share with you. From the shamanic perspective, wealth goes beyond the accumulation of MONEY, which can be a dirty and unpleasant word... It is measured by your wellness of health, happiness, harmony, hope and humour; emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually and within your life force energy! We have always considered ourselves extremely wealthy within this definition. From before we even met and birthed Sacred Journeys, our focus has always been one of BEING OF SERVICE; to self, life and others. It was in the creation of Sacred Journeys Shamanic Retreat Centre that Lou and I followed this dream that has led us to fulfilling our destinies and finding greater wealth on all levels. So our internal hurdle has been how to reconcile the cost of supporting ourselves while being of service? TRUST! Trusting in ourselves and Spirit that what we need will be provided! This is what it means to be in right relationship with wealth, including the energy of money. As each one of us commits to living in “right relationship” with wealth (instead of money alone) we impact the greater consciousness, creating a ripple of change that echo’s out into our world. Let us all take measure of our wealth; by the levels of health we maintain, the levels of happiness we allow into our lives, by the intangible and tangible wealth we have available to us, and take the necessary steps to put ourselves into “right relationship” with this abundant energy.
