As many of you know by now, we have become foster parents and we - TopicsExpress

As many of you know by now, we have become foster parents and we got our first little baby on August 13th. She was 6 ½ months old and has been our joy for the past 9 weeks. She has two older siblings who were placed in a group home the night we got her, but that was just a temporary placement. As of tomorrow, they will be coming to live with us as well. We are so excited that all 3 of them will be together and begin to build their bond as siblings. The two older siblings are only 2 and 3 years old. So, just 10 weeks ago, we had no children and now we have 3 children all under the age of 4 years old. What a change! We have been busy getting things in order and changing rooms around to give each of them their own unique little space. We have been overwhelmed by the kindness of those around us who have been so supportive over the past 9 weeks with our little one. The Lord has called us to love on these children as though they are our own for as long as we have them and we appreciate the love that has been shown to us. Due to the nature of foster care, there are rules to follow, especially when it comes to social media, and that is why we will never post their names or pictures on Facebook, Instagram, etc…. And while we can text pics, we have to trust that no one will post those pictures, etc…. But we would love for you to meet and get to know our children and some friends have mentioned having a Welcome Home party where you could come and meet them. Many of you have already asked what we need, and while we do need some things, we are not quite certain exactly what, but we will be composing a list soon and we will let you know. There is, however, no pressure to get them anything.
