As many of you know i was hired on with Aerotek employment services working with Solid Oak. The contract agreement was that i was to log in 1080 hours. I nearly completed my hours and would have been finished by the end of next week. I was really looking forward to getting a small increase in pay but most of all the benefits. Ive pretty much given up all forms of social activity and life for this company working 84-98 hours per week, and for the last month managing a 20 Frac Tank Farm where up to 150-200 trucks per day were coming to fill up to take water for the fracs. I never complained once about my job or my duties until the company started leaving me to do this major task of backing up these trucks to be filled, and making sure that the tanks didnt get lower then 6 foot. Its actually exhausting because youre constantly running back and forth, climbing ladders to check tank levels, and backing trucks up almost non-stop for a 14 hour shift. I started getting a bit irritated due to the fact i was left to do this alone during the daylight shift when it was much busier then the night shift when a lot of the trucks stop running. Night shift was coming to replace me with anywhere from 2-4 guys. I started complaining about the workload and having to do the same job by myself that up to 4 guys were doing on the slower night shift. Anyway, i got to the point where i was just doing it and whatever happened happened despite my pleas for help, i wasnt getting it in a timely manner. I got a text message yesterday that Solid Oak had cancelled my contract and that i was to turn in my ppe equipment, uniforms, etc and not to contact any of the Solid Oak personnel again.. Lol. Although busing my ass for this company for almost 3 months not missing a day, and doing the same job as 3-4 night shift guys were doing wasnt enough proof of my dedication to my work with Solid Oak. Anyway, im back to the drawing board seeking work again. I have an interview on Tuesday with another temp agency to see if i can get back to work quickly. Im asking that you all please say some prayers that i get back to work quickly. Thank you all so much ahead of time!
