As many of you know, in March 2013, my mom was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer. Since then our family has been on a love journey with her. Over the last year she has had a radical mastectomy, endured 6 weeks of radiation and 6 months of an intense chemotherapy cocktail and another year of a drug called Herceptin. In July, she will have completed all recommended treatment and as of today we received the good news that ALL of her Cat Scans were negative and there is no evidence of disease! Please join me in a moment of prayer for all those who are, have been or will be on their own love journey, for it is ONLY through our strong faith in God she was able to stay in the vibration of love throughout her entire experience! I honor my mothers courage and grace. As the matriarch and back bone of this family (of mostly women) she has taken on the ultimate sacrifice as we understand the deeper significance of her disease. It has helped us all to understand that it is not our physical body, but our Spirit that guides us when we allow it to. Surrendering to the Creator and knowing that Love can transform, transmute and make new any experience when we are courageous to ask...what have you come to teach me? This journey and the lessons that have been delivered through the experience is also helping us to get through my divorce, which feels like another cancer to ALL of us, but again, the lesson is forgiveness, love and faith that God is always working for our highest good when we can keep our Spirit aligned with love. The only role pain and suffering play in any situation is to give you the opportunity and the courage to ask...what has this experience come to teach me and what would LOVE do? This has been the hardest life lessons, but I suppose its what I came here to learn because through these dark nights of our soul....A Goddess is born and ALL the women in our family are the beneficiaries. We are receiving our Grace for all of Humanity...which is why I share these intimate moments with you today. When you have to travel through the darkness...take this gift with you. It will always lead you back into the light.. What would LOVE do? I love you Izzie Valdies ...I am so proud to be your daughter. YOU are LOVE!
