As many of you know my dad had a pacemaker put in about a year ago while serving an LDS mission to Iceland. It had recently come to light that he is having additional issues that should have been addressed at the time and cant be solved in Iceland. Through much fasting and prayer it has been concluded that his best course of action is to end their mission 9 months early and come to the States for treatment. They are completely at peace with their decision and have the full support of their Mission President that they are doing the will of Heavenly Father. Though they are disappointed to end early, they have honorably served and are grateful for the opportunities and experiences they were able to enjoy on their mission and know they have 100% to the work. The friendships they have made, Saints they have buoyed up and systems they have put into place will serve the church in Iceland for many years. Those friendships and Saints will always have a special place in their hearts and in mine as they have loved and cared for them so well. Please keep them in your prayers as they tie up the business they need to so they can come home and for the safe travel and care they need would be most appreciated by me and our family.
