As many of you know, my father was diagnosed with ALS in 2001 and died of it in 2004. It was a horrible death that I wouldnt wish on anyone. In 2001, I started paying attention to this disease and progress toward a cure. It was really slow going. Not many people get ALS (which is good), and not many people know what it is (which is bad). I cant tell you how hopeful the popularity of the #ALSIceBucketChallenge makes me. It gets us SO much closer to a cure than we have been before. Today, Steve and I took part in the challenge and both contributed to ALS organization and I would ask all my friends to contribute if you are able. This is really important to me personally and I appreciate the support you can provide in whatever form or amount you can provide it. Thank you! XOXO...
