As many of you know, my husband has loads of medical issues. Too many to list and they have gone on for so long we just continue to live our lives and dont really worry. A few months ago he had an optical stroke but didnt go to the Dr or say anything to me, he just shrugged it off. That is, until he mentioned (two weeks after the stroke, mind you) that he was partially blind in one eye and did I think he should talk to a dr? Well he has done it again. A few weeks ago he had a followup visit at the dermatologist and the DR was concerned about a new spot on his skin. They did a biopsy and it came back as melanoma. I quizzed my husband extensively about the diagnosis and he told me it was no big deal, the DR was going to remove some tissue and do some followup biopsies. I found out tonight that the DR isnt doing a simple office procedure tomorrow, my husband is going under general anesthesia and if the DR cannot get good margins they may remove his finger, or perhaps more. But my husband says I am not supposed to be concerned, or rearrange my schedule to take him to or from the hospital. WHAT!! And he thinks I should relax and go to sleep. Men!
