As many of you know, the FAA will soon be deciding how the commercial use of UAVs or robotic aircraft like the AgEagle will be handled around the farm. The FAA has said that farmers are OK to use the AgEagle on their own land currently. However rules for commercial use like crop scouting, agronomists, COOPs and other commercial agricultural uses, have not yet been written. It is feared that the pending rulings may require agronomists or anybody using such a device for commercial applications to have a pilot’s license. Can you imagine how ridiculous it would be to require an agronomist to have a pilots license to fly an eight pound aircraft, no higher than 400 feet off the ground in order just to take aerial photographs of crops! If you agree with this and want to support the commercial use of robotic aircraft without the need of needless government regulation, please go to the link below and download two documents. Please forward them on to your elected officials to solicit their support. ageagle/aguseuavs/ Also, please share this with your friends so they too can support this. Thank you!
