As many of you know, there years ago we adopted Chili from the Richmond Animal Protection Society. Chili was dumped in front of a veterinary clinic, and it took them three days to catch her, she was so terrified. While we do not know anything about where she came from, it was obvious to the veterinarian who examined her that she had multiple litters, and was approximately 9 years old. From this, we assumed that she was likely kept in a cage to breed, and once she was no longer able to, she was dumped (literally). Chili has come far since we first got her. She will also be timid, but we know she is happy and enjoys the comfort of her family. The one thing she had never done, however, is play. The concept was completely foreign to her. That was until we brought home Cinnibar, a VOKRA - Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association foster. Cinnibar had a horrendous start to her young life, but is healing very well, and is the coolest cat. Less than a week with her in our home....this happened. (Kathy)
