As ministers of God we must be careful not to use the tragedies of others to benefit our sermons or prophesies. When Moses departed this life we didnt read where Joshua was saying, God showed me or God told me Moses was going to die! But rather, they all stopped and mourn the lost of their leader. The scripture declares, rejoice with them that rejoice and mourn them that mourn. When the Prophets warned Elisha that God was getting ready to take his master, he heed but he pursued the mantle! They didnt prophesy to be important or to be greater than Elijah. They was preparing Elisha for what was to take place. Lets consider the families and the church families during the time of tragedy. We do not have to gain popularity, fame or to even have someone to say, God really speaks to you! Please keep in mind, we all will have to travel down that path with our family, friends, church members, and leaders. Be compassionate towards others because you never know when it might be your turn. When God reveals or speaks, he requires you to be the first partaker of prayer! Dont use the situations of others to make yourself appear important. Mercy on us Lord and give us more compassion for our brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ.
