As most of you already know, my Papa has gone to be with the Lord. - TopicsExpress

As most of you already know, my Papa has gone to be with the Lord. I take great comfort in knowing that he lived a completely full life filled with lots of love and laughter. He was certainly a man of God and I have no doubt that he is sitting at the right hand of the Father. I know he is no longer suffering, and all of his pain has been taken away. I know that his vessel of flesh that got him through this thing called “life” has been renewed and made perfect just by being in the presence of his Heavenly Father. I can just see him being reunited with loved ones that he has lost over the years. Just to think of that big ole smile that he must have on his face is enough to bring tears to my eyes. The tears that I cry are not tears of sadness, they are tears of joy. I rejoice in knowing that my Papa will live on for eternity in Heaven and will always be there just looking over us. I rejoice in the fact that he will no longer hurt or suffer in any kind of way. While he will be missed in the flesh, his spirit will live on forever. Death is never an easy thing for anybody and no one likes goodbyes, especially final goodbyes. We all know that we aren’t going to live forever and we all know that tomorrow is never promised. Only God knows how long you have on this earth, so live your life to the fullest, tell the ones you love how much they mean to you because you never really know when your time will be up. I do thank you Jesus for allowing me the time to say my final goodbyes. I know that my Papa is in a much better place and while our hearts are saddened here on earth at his absence; the angels in heaven are rejoicing as they welcome another angel home. Thank you also for your Word, for it is a lamp unto our feet. I have found great comfort in the following scripture, I do hope it brings peace to anyone struggling with the loss of a loved one. 2 Corinthians 5: 1-8 For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling, 3 if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked. 4 For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5 He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.6 So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
