As most of you are aware on November 3rd at 11:40 p.m. Stacey Bordelon Dixon posted an obituary for Granville James Rabalais, jr. and again on November 5th at 8:32 a.m. It was stated that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Spring Bayou Restoration Team. I read the obituary at our SBRT Board Meeting the evening of the 5th and it was suggested at the meeting that SBRT provide the family with a unique limited 2014 Spring Bayou Restoration Team plaque. In keeping with the suggestion and as agreed on by the board members I hand delivered a plaque to St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church in Slidell. La. this afternoon. Mr. Rabalaiss services will be held there tomorrow and the Priest to whom we handed the plaque offered assurances that it would be provided to the Wife of the deceased. We offer our sincere condolences and ask that the Good Lord provide comfort and solace to the family. We thank the family for this kind gesture and heartfelt support of the Team.
