As most of you know, Ed and I have our hands quite full here on our little slice of heaven! And, I like to think that we do everything that we can to help those that are in need when we can. In this past year I have been watching the goings on of a particular horse rescue and I can honestly say that I am in awe of the work that is done there by Ann & John Lisk. Please visit and like Southern Sun Farm Sanctuary, Inc. for they are doing wonderful things for the horses that they take in! If you are moved to help with their latest project Barnville in *any* way please do so. Its easier for me to share this message with you than to try to explain it myself.......... Anita: We have launched BARNVILLE! It is our Crowd Funding Campaign that we are doing in order to build a another barn, so that we can double the number of horses that we can accommodate during the harsh Winter weather ... Crowd Funding is the latest concept in non-profit funding using the reach of the Internet to allow a lot of people to give smallish amounts and still complete a building campaign ... the theory being that even if someone cant participate financially, they can still tell their friends and supporters and that will help spread the base (you tell 10 people and they tell 10 people and they tell 10 people, etc.) until the goal is reached! Saving one horse wont change the world, but it will change the world for that one horse!
