As most of you know I have been managing Helping Hand Thrift Store for the last two and half years. The store has been like a baby to me, sometimes I forget it is not actually my store and I am only just the manager lol I take great pride in being able to say that I have been there since day one and literally set up and opened the store. Mel Manning saw something in me back two and half years ago and gave me the amazing opportunity to manage and be a part of this wonderful organization. This opportunity came to me when I was somewhat still new in my recovery but helped me regain my self confidence and being a part of the whole organization has helped shape me into the person I am today. I am thankful for every minute of it. With all of that being said it is very bittersweet for me to say that I will be re signing as manager and taking a job as the Event Coordinator at Ushers House in Moorhead. Although I leave the thrift store with a very heavy heart and will deeply miss my staff, the customers whom I have come to know very well and The Refuge as a whole I am very excited and blessed with this new opportunity!!
