As most of you know, I have had to move my shop due to road construction. I have been trying to get schedules to match up between a guy with a bucket truck and a guy with a crane to lower my antenna tower and move it to my new location. I left the system all up and functional in the old shop so I could monitor the emergency channel as I said I do. Apparently I waited too long. Someone broke into the old building and stole all of my radio equipment, including my backup equipment as well as most of the wiring in the shop. It is worth nothing to anyone but me and most of it was custom built and programmed by a Motorolla engineer for my specific purpose. The radios are about antique and no longer legal to use in the typical business band because they do not meet the new channel spacing guidelines, which I do not have to meet in the marine band. Anyway, it is all gone and it will take me a little time and money to get it all replaced. So, if you are out on the lake I hope you cell phone works because for now my communications are very limited. I am really tired of replacing stolen items over the past 2 years.
