As most of you know, Im not a religious person. Im not opposed to folks believing in something greater than themselves - whatever gets you through the day. However, I do have a problem with a religious belief that requires you to proselytize and do have a problem when you attempt to legislate morality based upon your religious beliefs. Its an incredibly arrogant thing to do. But the Biblical God, in the book of Exodus, does say, ...for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments. By this account, he is a jealous, arrogant, and egocentric God and I dont have time for that. No thanks.
