As most of you know (and if for some reason you dont, SURPRISE!) I am an out-and-proud atheist. If youve lived your whole life in a bubble and dont know what that word means, it simply means that I dont believe in a god. Any of them. Devils, either. It doesnt mean I worship Satan. It doesnt mean I eat babies. It doesnt mean I have no morals or no purpose to life. It simply, and ONLY means...that I dont believe in any gods. Those that arent completely comfortable with the title atheist may use agnostic, or freethinker, or secular humanist, but they all mean the same thing. That said, if you yourself identify with any of those terms or (lack of) beliefs, and want to be part of a wonderful, warm, welcoming community of other like-minded people, please send me a private message. The Oklahoma Atheists Facebook group is a 100% completely PRIVATE and CLOSED group so that, even if youre not open to your friends or family, you can still take part in our discussions without fear of being found out. We have many public meet-ups for dinner, board game nights, festivals, community service projects, etc. (And even if you never get up the nerve to go to any of the in-person activities, theres still the online group to get to know people and speak openly about things you may not feel comfortable speaking about in your day-to-day life.)
