As most of you know, our friend and brother, Poco Falcon suffered a stroke almost exactly 15 yrs. ago, today. He was doing great, sober for 15 yrs., lost a bunch of weight, cut his hair and just looked super, when I took him to our 40th reunion in July. Since then, he has had a setback from what I believe to be Bells Palsy and possibly even another stroke. He spent weeks at Doctors Regional Hospital in C.C., followed by a couple of weeks at some rehab place in Aransas Pass. He is now at Alameda Oaks Rehabilitation and I havent been able to get down there yet, but from what I have heard, he is not doing well. His ex, Sabrina Ann mentioned that we should do some sort of benefit for him and I am just running with that. David Page from Hoegemeyers BBQ has shown an interest in allowing us to use his beautiful facility and I have gotten the word out. Im thinking of a Saturday in April to do this and would LOVE some feedback and help with this project of love. Im calling it the Twirly Bird Benefit. His close friends will know what Im talking about and I will gladly send out an explanation in a private message, but use your imagination. The one hint is that the women LOVE Poco.......More to come as we progress....Ray..
