As most of you know today was another rough one for me. Tonight I opened an email and received this report on Wilma one of our 2nd Chance dogs adopted last month. I realize that there are days where I want to quit but emails like this keep us going!!! Hi Lynn! Its me, Heather. Adam hasnt been checking his emails often enough! So, Im replying, hope thats ok! Wilma is doing so well, and she is perfect in every way. We have never been so happy! Honestly, I have raised dogs and been around dogs all my life, and have NEVER seen one as well-behaved as Wilma! She is absolutely angelic! Never does a single misbehavior. Shes also such a blast to play with! Shes gotten so strong, she stands on her hind legs and turns in circles when she knows shes getting a treat. If we hadnt already known, wed never guess she had any knee problems at all! We took her on a shopping spree at Petsmart, and she had so much fun! She got along with every dog she met in every aisle! She did growl at the bunnies in the cages, though! Shes also Princess of the Backyard...she loves it out there! Especially sitting with us under the tree. The vet said shes very healthy. A perfect heart and lungs, digestive system also perfect! Her weight is ideal. The only problem (not really a problem) was some buildup on her teeth, which we are brushing (with poultry-flavored toothpaste, who knew! lol) until we get them done at the vet. We cannot - absolutely cannot - thank you and Rhonda and the rescue enough for bringing Wilma into our lives! We feel she was meant to be here, and she seems to feel that way, too. We love her with all the love in the world! ~ Heather & Adam
