As much as I dislike the Hobby Lobby decision, I dislike ignorance about the consequences of the decision even more. According to the SCOTUS ruling, Hobby Lobby is exempt from the Obamacare requirement that employers provide insurance which covers four specific forms of birth control (IUDs and a few versions of the morning after pill). Thats it. They still provide insurance that covers The Pill and many other prescription contraceptives. So please stop saying that Hobby Lobby is taking away our birth control. They arent. You can still get plenty of covered birth control as an employee at Hobby Lobby. Im NOT making any judgment about the fairness or possible negative consequences of the ruling. Its just about accuracy. Thank you for reading until the end. EDIT: However, it does seem that the lower courts CAN might be able to use this case as precedent for not providing insurance that covers any form of birth control.
