As much as I hate giving air time to utter nonsense of this - TopicsExpress

As much as I hate giving air time to utter nonsense of this nature, I have been asked to provide the facts in regard to a nasty rumour - and we certainly want members of CADDOG to be informed and up to date on the facts: The police have confirmed to Councillor Larry Sherwin that there have been ABSOLUTELY NO REPORTS of any dogs getting sick after visiting the new dog park. Apparently, someone has chosen to fabricate a story that a dog became sick after playing with a poisoned toy found in the park, and a (very) few people have repeated the story - without confirming the integrity of the sources. I can absolutely assure you that immediate action was taken upon hearing this rumour, and if there was any confirmed or suspected danger to dogs or their owners, the park would have been closed immediately. While it saddens me to realize that there are people who take some kind of bizarre pleasure in attempting to undermine our enjoyment of our new park by inventing and spreading falsehoods or expending energy trying to undermine the credibility of the people and process that got us to this point, I only have to scroll through all of the positive comments posted here to realize that there is, in fact, a strong, united and positive community of dog owners that wont be swayed by such petty negativity. We have an amazing off-leash park that is literally getting better every day. Lets keep that positive energy flowing, and continue to work together as a team to make it the best it can possibly be!
