As much as I hate posting intimate details on social media, Leanne and I would very much like to avoid making a bunch of really tough phone calls, so Im posting this on FB to keep everyone who loves us updated. A few weeks ago, we were surprised (& ecstatic) to find out Leanne was pregnant. Although the timing was a bit stressful, it was the best news weve ever had. We let some close friends & family know, but didnt tell many people because of the high risk of miscarriage in early pregnancy. Despite knowing that risk is real & relatively common, we got attached to our Lentil Bean rather quickly. Thats why, when the pregnancy started having some complications last week, we were incredibly worried. Unfortunately, things got worse & today we found out that were having a miscarriage. I know its still early in the pregnancy, but were both pretty devastated. Leanne and I appreciate all the prayers and love from you all. If you found out about this here on FB, please dont feel slighted... we just cant handle having this conversation over & over again right now while were grieving this loss.
