As much fun as yesterdays seminar was it was also a big full circle moment for my career. When I first heard Jerry speak 4 years ago, I had about a dozen weddings under my belt but was very unsure of myself as a photographer. My style was all over the board and my technical skills had a long way to go. But I knew one thing- I could connect with people in a really genuine way. So, over the last 4 years, I dedicated myself to continuing education, workshops all over the country and continuos study to begin to truly understand light. Now, my own voice in my images can be heard and it is resonating with my just right brides. I admire the work of others but if you are looking for dark, moody, contrast-driven images....Im not your girl. Mostly, because I dont see life that way. And thats what being a photographer all boils down to. Your photography is a DIRECT reflection of who you ARE behind that lens. Lots of professional photographers can find the light, pose you beautifully but who THEY are absolutely impacts the final look of any image. I photograph in full color, nothing muted, nothing toned down. I draw out the joy in my subjects because it is who I AM. Ive been so blessed by the clients who have seen my work and believed that I saw life in a way that they too saw life. My desire is to be the best ME I can be behind that lens and I will move mountains for my brides. So, if you are a half full kind of girl, raised by wonderful parents, in love with a man who truly makes you smile and have vivacious, spunky, first-on-the-dance floor friends.....then look me up. I promise to show up with both guns blazing on your wedding day and draw out all the beauty of your wedding and the ones you love. There is a huge chance Ill be dancing right beside you by the end of the night too because #turndownforwhat is kind of my jam :)
