As my guess at the causal factor in the National Airlines Boeing - TopicsExpress

As my guess at the causal factor in the National Airlines Boeing 747 crash in Afghanistan is gaining traction (Cargo shifting aft during takeoff/initial climb) another plane crash during an airshow is much easier to diagnose. The biplane was carrying a wing walker, and approached the spectators inverted. The wing walker was sitting upright on the inverted wing leading edge when the pilot attempted to roll the aircraft upright, WAAYY too low to the ground. In my estimation, the pilot had flown aircraft which were capable of performing this maneuver successfully. Unfortunately, the lumbering old trainer he was flying would not have the same capability. The sudden maneuver may have been an attempt to steer the aircraft away from the spectator area. The FAA establishes "Show Lines" for aerobatic performers which must be respected, or the pilots are violated.
