As of 10:45 p.m., July 15, 2014, typhoon Glenda was located 65 km east southeast of Alabat, Quezon, and moving west northwest at 19 kph. Glenda has maximum sustained winds of 150 kph near the center and gustiness up to 185 kph. It is expected to cross Metro Manila before noon tomorrow and exit the Luzon landmass via Zambales by Wednesday evening. It will be 450 km Northwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. Upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), work in government offices and classes in all levels, both public and private, in the National Capital Region and in areas under typhoon signal no. 2 have been suspended by the Office of the President on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. (Class and government work in areas under signal no. 3 are automatically suspended. Please read Executive Order No. 66, s. 2012.)
