As of 2p this afternoon we had reached a new high of 1,679 FANS! Not all of the fans are golfers themselves. However, we all realize there would be significant repercussions if the golf course was destroyed and 221 houses were built at the corner of Tujunga Canyon Blvd. & La Tuna Canyon Road. Hundreds of additional vehicles would be added to this already congested traffic corridor. That includes the on/off ramps of the 210 Freeway. Responding to the 2009 Draft Environmental Impact Report, community members detailed the significant negative impacts that would result from the proposed project. We will have an opportunity to revisit portions of the EIR this year and again submit comments. At that time we will need everyone to speak up. explaining how the proposed development would affect the quality of life here in the foothills, east or west of Lowell Avenue, north or south of Foothill Blvd. And the consequences it would have for families living and/or traveling the Tujunga Canyon Blvd/La Tuna Canyon Rd/Honolulu Ave. traffic corridor. Its that simple. But it wont be that easy either.
