As often as I can, I try to stand with those seeking to break down misogyny in the subcultures I frequent. In many cases, those subcultures reject this kind of scrutiny because they look at misogyny as something that jocks and assholes promote, not something intellectual nerds do. This fundamental error ruins a quality chance for people to build a better world for their children... and so I keep trying to promote these concepts, because if I can keep people talking, then the status quo has a harder job settling back into place. I dont always have the best voice for taking these stands. I consider myself articulate and intelligent, but I am also privileged and often ignorant. So when I talk about these issues, I try and introduce people to voices I consider to be poignant and approachable. Two of those I respect most are Anita Sarkesian and Movie Bob. Anita gets a lot of hate because... well... nerd rage. But Movie Bob can often make the EXACT SAME POINTS, and because hes a man, he doesnt seem to elicit the kind of fierce nerd rage that Sarkesian does from closet red pillers and decryers of fake fangirls. So Im going to share with you some of my favorite Movie Bob bits. Ill post one here and a few more in the comments.
