As often seems to be the case, sadly, Greenpeace do not appear to be interested in truth, whether it is about nuclear or fracking scares, or the climate. The worry about the effect that pollution might have on the climate, and the concern that it might result in a new Ice Age was certainly treated with seriousness in in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Perhaps the rise in CO2 emissions saved us from that prospect, although whether that was good for the planet (rather than humanity) in the long term is another question.
