As our PBD players hit the field for the start of their 2014 season, our staff wanted to pass this along. Whether youre a Senior in high school or college, a sophomore in high school or junior college, it doesnt matter what year youre in, what matters is that if you really love this game, you wont and CANT let a day go by where you dont improve yourself as a player and person. One thing is certain in this game, YOURE TIME PLAYING IT WILL COME TO AN END. For most, that time comes after little league. Some continue onto high school, with a few moving onto college, and the extremely few moving onto professional baseball. There are so few players to EVER play the game that get to go out like Mariano Rivera, or Derek Jeter this year, where they walk away on their terms, at their time. Every player who plays this game and truly loves it, will always remember the good times youve had on the field and the amazing array of characters and personalities that youve been lucky to go to war with. So were hoping that youll see a little of that love, from the outside looking back in, in this story to see that time really does fly. You cant get that time back. You cant go back in time and wish you worked harder or pushed yourself any more than you did. If you dont do it now, embrace that challenge now, youll be on the outside looking in and wishing you had ONE MORE DAY to enjoy this game with your buddies, your coachs, and the FANS! Its time to see your HARD WORK pay off for this season and remember, that you have to do something each day to be better than you were the day before.
