As part of efforts to widen its perspective as well as maximize the benefits of franchising to the economy particularly in creating thousands of businesses and millions of jobs, the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) invited leading figures in Philippine business to be members of the PFA Advisory Council. Among the members of the said advisory council is Mr. Joey Concepcion, founding trustee of the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship, and the driving force behind Go Negosyo. Recently, members of the PFA Executive Committee recently made a courtesy call with Mr. Joey Concepcion to discuss possible areas of partnership as well as create synergies that will impact positively on the Filipino people. One possible collaboration was a incubation/mentoring program that will help small entrepreneurs grow their business via franchising. PFA also sought the support of Go Negosyo in uniting the Philippine franchise sector in light of heightened competition due to the ASEAN integration and the influx of foreign franchise brands.
