As part of our 90 day push challenge, we have been challenged to really think about why we joined It Works and post it. So here goes my Why... I joined because I wanted to pay of a little debt. Well, now a little debt has turned into massive debt thanks to a terrible contractor who took us for more than $90k. 5 months in and we have a 2nd contractor, more bills, and a house thats still not finished. Our goal when we moved and started this house was to sell our old house and use the mi eyes to remodel this one and pay off all debt. Neither of those things have happened and we are so far from debt free that I cant imagine not ever having debt. My goal in being debt free is not so that we can buy extravagant things or take fancy vacations. I just want to be able to pay for a top knotch education for my boys without struggling or eating into savings. The Christian school we want to send them is fantastic but very expensive. I also want to be able to pay for their college without any type of loans or them having student loans. If I make double diamond, 2 months pay will allow me to pay for a whole year of school for both boys. That means I can put the other 10 months of pay towards college and debt snowballing! A year from now finances are going to look a lot different around the Daugherty house!
