As part of our overall strategy to protect the future of River - TopicsExpress

As part of our overall strategy to protect the future of River Ranch we are asking our members to review and sign a conservation easement with River Ranch. Once signed these easements will be in effect as long as River Ranch is in existence. These easements give River Ranch the rights to protect the subject property. We are asking members to do this because it makes it more difficult and less attractive for the State to purchase property in River Ranch if a significant number of conservation easements are in place for the benefit of River Ranch. We are able to obtain, with the owners’ consent, conservation easements on any land located within River Ranch, including property located in the camping area. On December 13, 2014 our lawyer, Scotty Fitzpatrick, will be at River Ranch so our members can ask questions and to sign these easements and have them notarized. We are strongly urging members to consider these easements for the future of River Ranch. Please click on the link to view and/or print the conservation easement that we are asking members to sign. Also we are asking that members attend a public meeting for the Acquisition and Restoration Concil on December 2, 2014 at the City Council Chambers, Bradenton City Hall, 101 Old Main Street. This meeting will start at 5:00 pm. We would like for our members to dress appropriately for the meeting (business casual if possible), and conduct themselves professionally at the meeting. This will help us get the response we want from the State. The more members that can attend the better.
