As part of our worship service today, a peace pole made by our youth was dedicated. Below is a video of the dedication service. Peace Pole Dedication Prayer: Instead of building walls between us, we will dance together under rainbows Instead of kindling fires of hurt, we will soothe with words of forgiveness. Instead of accepting intolerance, we will eagerly debate what we do not understand. Instead of teaching and learning bitter silence, we will create the time to listen with each other again. Instead of suffering in lonely fear, we will make an adventure out of creating community. Instead of embracing the ways of a dark world, we will build one where Gods light infects every time and place. Instead of accepting a world of division, we claim this place as one of peace and reconciliation. Let this Peace Pole be a sign and covenant to all who come and go from this place, that this is a place of peace and love for all.
