As per the official ORAS website, we now know Mega Metagrosss Stat distrubution, and ability, although we dont know the actual stats themselves. Upon Mega Evolving, Metagrosss Ability changes to Tough Claws, which increases the power of attacks that make physical contact. Its Speed is also increased GREATLY, and its stats are better balanced than ever! With increases in its Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, and Sp. Def, this is a Pokémon primed for both offense and defense. I think OU will fear him, perhaps too much. Considering that he is getting a stat boost to 5 of his stats, and that megas get +100 to their BST, that means that his Base Speed will increase >+20, and by the wording, apparently significantly greater than +20, Im assuming +35/+45, which puts MegaGrosss speed in the 105, 115 range. Combine that with access to STAB Tough Claws Prio in Bullet Punch, as well as STAB Tough Claws Attack Boosting in Meteor Mash, and Neutral coverage for days with Steel/Ground coverage.
