As per usual in the NICU, after a bad day comes a good one. Callie has been diagnosed with an E.Coli infection. She is on 3 different antibiotics and seems to be improving in comparison to yesterday. Cerebrospinal fluid tested negative for the bacteria which is good. She has a ways to go but is moving in the right direction. Cayden is stable for the most part. Biggest concern with her is her heart. They are monitoring a hole in her heart and a murmur (Sorry Im not there so I dont know details). From what I understand its nothing to worry about. I have diagnosed myself with baby girls withdrawal. Hoping to be able to go back Monday or Tuesday.
